Eric Wallis / 1968 / American impressionist painter

From the age of seven, Eric Wallis frequently spent time in the studio, studying painting techniques—a pursuit in which he was assisted by his father, the Impressionist painter Kent Wallis.

His passion for painting did not fade with age. In 1992, he graduated with honors from the Department of Painting at the University of Utah.

Since then, he has held annual exhibitions in Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, and Washington. Many of his works are held in private collections.

From early childhood, Brian was fascinated by both painting and mathematics, and he always found creative ways to blend these two worlds.

After acquiring a foundational knowledge of mechanical engineering, he decided to return to the fine arts. In his paintings, he employs a rather complex technique that inspires in the viewer an appreciation for achievements in science—specifically engineering, mathematics, and architecture.

Today, Brian can most likely be found creating his next masterpiece in his studio in Salt Lake City, Utah.
